HighWray Facilities
HighWray is more than bedrooms and communal spaces — it's a genuinely well-equipped home, built around comfort, accessibility and everyday life.
From the moment you arrive, you'll find a period property that's been thoughtfully maintained and modernised, without losing the character that makes it feel like a home rather than an institution.
At a glance – in-house hairdressing weekly. Visiting ophthalmology and audiology. In-house religious visits, weekly communion etc.
Every bedroom has its own private en-suite, almost all with a walk-in wet room.

- A large communal lounge with beautiful countryside views.
- A dining room set nicely for mealtimes, sometimes decorated with residents' own craft work.

Outside
We have multiple areas to sit out, with a large pergola to be enjoyed overlooking our forest. We are lucky to regularly have deer in our meadow and enjoy views of the lake.
Set on a quiet country lane in Aughton, HighWray is surrounded by forest, meadow and lake views. It is peaceful, private and a world away from busy roads. There is free on-site parking at the front and rear, with accessible routes to every door, so visits are easy for family and friends.

"HighWray is in a lovely area and has a feel of being more like a hotel than a care home."
